vaughan shooters 1-1 ulster thistle

thistle scored 2 mins in directly off a corner that curved in off the back post.. after that ALLLL shooters.

ref was a joke
gave shooters a penalty shot for a last man challenge in the 6 where the striker was all alone, but failed to show the defender a red card. vaughan eventually missed the penalty and SEVERAL other chances to close out the first half 1 goal down.

second half was all vaughan from beginning to end and they were finally rewarded with about 15 minutes left off a bad deflection straight to the foot of the striker to bury into an empty net

game could have been an easy 4 or 5 to 1 for the shooters, but the ball is round and didn't bounce their way in the final third of the field last night

What's the inside scoop w/ the hearts? they started off HORRID and many teams suggesting they do not belong in Provincial. All of a sudden they are beating some tough squads and getting results. I noticed David Guzman scored against GS.

Whats the word here?

Hearts Azzurri is a completely new team this year, so it is taking time for the team to come together and play as a team. They are in the Cup semis and have started playing better as of late. There are a lot of quality players in the squad but again it takes time for a team to develop.

This year's Hearts-Azzurri team only has 7 players from last year's team. Three quarters of last year's players went to Portugal FC of the CSL with Carmine and Patrice, and Peyvand left Hearts-Azzurri and went to North Toronto as Technical Director. Their manager remained loyal. The rest of the Hearts-Azzurri team is made up of players from Toronto Maccabi plus some new players, including the recently signed David Guzman (formerly of Brampton Lions from the CSL). He scored against Toronto Celtic last week not against GS last night. Hearts-Azzurri lost 4 games and 2 ties against the west division teams mostly in the last 5-15 minutes blowing the lead. Only one team in the west division has an over 500 record (Caledon FC). All the remaining games are now against the east teams which all have excellent records. It will be very exciting from now on with each game being like a six pointer. Hearts-Azzurri are also in the Alf Beese cup semi final and play Ulster Thistle in the next round. Fans will get to see the east division teams play each other and will certainly get their money's worth (hey it's free compared to CSL). Some OSL teams may not be as strong as last year due to CSL rule where an affiliated OSL team cannot bring up players to the CSL team, therefore, OSL teams (i.e. Hamilton Serbians to Hamilton Croatia CSL and GS United big time with Ricky Titus and others to York Region Shooters) losing players to the CSL teams.

The ref was shocking!! Worst I have seen in 25 years! First Azz goal, defender and striker running side by side in the Sora box. Ball goes out of bounds and the Azz player dives like a swan and is awarded a pkclap. Sora dominates after this and if it were not for the WA keeper, Sora would have scored 2 goals. At the end of the first half, WA given a freekick at the edge of the Sora 18. No foul commited. Two players running side by side, nobody falls and the ref awards a freekickwall. Keeper saves first shot and rebound is put in off Sora defender. Again, Sora dominate posession in 2nd half, but the ball would not go in.... 75th min, WA player goes on a break, Sora keeper (out of frustration) takes him out. PK, red card. Sora recieves another red 5 mins later. WA are an ok team but never deserved this result. Something has to be done about the terrible officiating. It is getting worse game by game. It seems as though anyone with a whistle can become a ref. This clown had no idea what he was doing and ruined a game which had potential to be a cracker.

We, Caledon, played there early on in the season and it was atrocious. I can only imagine what that field looks like now. Watch out for those boulders all over that pitch.

I've played on McLevin for years and this is the worst I've ever seen it. The ref was considering calling the game prior to kickoff.

Toronto Celtic 1-0 Brampton FC
Good open game lots of back and fourth action lots of chances for both teams but Celtic did enough for the points.

dont know anything about the playing grounds but if the teams think the surface
is dangerous then the game should not be played.
